It’s that time of year again—fishing on a full Eagle Mountain Lake is incredible! The channel catfish are biting like crazy, and the white bass are on the move in the main lake! We’re catching impressive numbers of white bass, channel catfish, and blue catfish, reaching limits on most recent trips and we’re catching tons of BIG FAST CATFISH.
The bite will only get better over the next week, we need a few more good warm days. Once that happens the action will get even better. The June channel catfish bite is one of my favorite patterns of the year to fish. Most days, the white bass are feeding heavily in large groups also, and this will continue to improve as the weather and water warm up. The lake is completely full right now and as soon as they stop letting water out these white bass will bunch up in big schools.
If you’re looking for fast-paced action and high numbers of channel catfish, blue catfish, or white bass, now is the time. June, July, and August are fantastic months for fishing. We can target catfish, and white bass, or do a combo trip to catch as many fish as possible as quickly as possible.
I’ll start scouting for crappie also as soon as the water level stabilizes so be on the lookout for updates on later summer crappie trips. I’m also planning on booking a limited number of flathead catfish trips and a handful of night catfish/white bass combo trips later in the summer so stay tuned for more details.
Our summer trips are half-day mornings (4 hours), and we’re also offering some half-day afternoon trips (though not available every day).
