Eagle Mountain Lake
The blue catfish bite has been good to excellent the past couple of weeks with good catches of blue catfish to 35 lbs and lot of box fish being caught.
The weather has been crazy the last few weeks and the warmer weather has put the fish in an odd pattern for this time of year and they are moving a lot and moving quickly, which has required a lot of moving to stay in active feeding fish.
I only expect the catfish bite to improve over the next week or so with the rains coming later this week and this weekend and temperatures expected to hover at or below freezing for several days.
We are now running two boats on Eagle Mountain Lake and have availability for January and February guided catfishing trips.
In addition to catfish trips Gordon is available for crappie and white bass fishing trips on Eagle Mountain Lake.
Lake Worth
We have run trips on Lake Worth several times in the last few weeks as well and have been catching some monster blue catfish but these are catch and release only trips for ALL sizes of fish due to the Lake Worth consumption ban that is in effect.
Lake Lewisville
I ventured over to Lewisville two weeks ago to do some scouting and the blue catfish bite was good. The trophy blue cat were right where they were supposed to be and we caught numerous trophy blue catfish up to 45 lbs.
I have a handful of January and February dates open for my boat and Gordon has some available for January and February as well.
