Q: Why do you call yourself North Texas Catfish Guide Service if you fish for Sandbass, Hybrids, Redfish and Gar?
A: When we initially started our fishing guide service we were onlyu providing guided fishing trips for catfish, but as time went one we recnognized that some of our clients liked to also fish for white bass, hybrids, redfish and even some gar now and then so we began providing our guided fishing trips for other species of fish as well.
Q: Why do you fish so many different lakes?
A: North Texas Catfish Guide Service consists of two fishing guides, and we cover a larger area than most fishing guide services because there are two of us and we both live in seperate areas. Although we do advertise our guided fishing trips on a number of different lakes, the majority of our guided fishing trips are done on Lake Lewisville and Cedar Creek Lake.
Q: What kind of catfish do you fish for?
A: Most of our guided fishing trips are done for Blue Catfish. It is our preference to fish for Blue Catfish because they have excellent populations in the lakes we fish, and overall they bite much better than Channel Catfish which usally allows our customers to catch much more catfish on our guided catfishing trips. Generally the Channel catfish bite is usually very light and hard to detect which can make things difficult for less experienced anglers. If your preference is to fish for Channel Catfish or Flathead Catfish we are happy to accomodate your request for catching these species of catfish, and there are certain times of the year we will do some guided fishing trips for Channel Catfish because the Channel Catfish will bite better than the blue catfish but this is not vero common.
Q: What is the best lake for a guided fishing trip for Catfish?
