Eagle Mountain Lake is a 9200 Acre Lake located on the West Fork of the Trinity River, just North of Fort Worth and Lake Worth in Tarrant County. Eagle Mountain Lake is a short drive from Most areas of Tarrant County and the City of Fort Worth.
Eagle Mountain Lake was impounded in 1932 is an older lake that holds good numbers of Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish and Flathead Catfish and excellent numbers of White Bass (Sandbass). The white bass population on Eagle Mountain Lake is amazing and good populations of Eagle Mountain Lake Channel catfish are present. Blue Catfish were stocked in Eagle Mountain Lake in the early 1990's and the Blue Catfish population has started to take off. Although catfish populations are not like Lake Lewisville and Cedar Creek Lake, Eagle Mountain Lake does has a healthy catfish population,

FOLLOW BOAT CLUB ROAD THROUGH LAKE WORTH, LAKE COUNTRY, PAST BAILEY BOSWELL ROAD, PAST THE TXU POWER PLANT, PAST BONDS RANCH ROAD. AFTER YOU PASS BONDS RANCH ROAD AND HEAD UP THE HILL LOOK FOR PEDEN ROAD ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE WHEN THE ROAD MAKES A SLIGHT LEFT.
GO LEFT ON PEDEN ROAD UNTIL YOU SEE THE SIGN FOR LAKEVIEW MARINA, GO RIGHT AT THE SIGN AND THEN LEFT INTO THE PARKING LOT. THERE IS A FEE FOR PARKING, PLEASE PAY AT THE PAY BOX ON THE WAY INTO EAGLE MOUNTAIN LAKE LAKEVIEW MARINA.

Aquatic Vegetation: Very little present. Controlling authority has initiated attempts to establish native aquatic vegetation in the reservoir.
Access/Camping: Three public boat ramps and a number of commercial facilities offer access to Eagle Mountain Lake. Many of these locations also offer courtesy docks, camping, swimming beaches and other amenities.
Fishing Cover/Structure: The upper portion of the lake has reed beds and the lower and mid lake areas have boat has that act as cover and structure for fish.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR. Eagle Mountain Reservoir, formerly Eagle Mountain Lake, is on the West Fork of the Trinity River just north of Lake Worth in northwestern Tarrant and southwestern Wise counties (at 32°53' N, 97°28' W). It is owned and operated by the Tarrant County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 to supply water to Fort Worth for municipal and industrial uses and for irrigation and recreation. Construction of the dam began on January 23, 1930, and was completed October 24, 1932. Impoundment of water began on February 28, 1934. The dam is 85 feet high and 4,800 feet wide, with an original spillway width of 1,300 feet. The crest of the service spillway is at 649.1 feet above mean sea level. The reservoir has a normal capacity of 190,460 acre-feet and a maximum capacity of 680,335 acre-feet; its surface area at normal capacity is 9,200 acres and at maximum capacity, 19,050 acres. A new service spillway was added in 1971 at a cost of $2,565,679. The drainage area of the West Fork of the Trinity River at Eagle Mountain Dam is 1,970 square miles.
